常見問題

Can N90Q be used with Apple Lightning connector for charging or digital signal input?

No, you cannot use a lightning connector to charge the N90Q. It can only be charged with the micro USB charger that is provided for you in the packaging. Also, no digital signal transmission can take place from an iPhone, only from Android phones. But some Apple computers will work.

Can N90Q be used with the My JBL Headphone app?

No, this is not possible. The N90Q is completely self-contained. Also, it is not a Bluetooth headphone.

Can N90Q charge and play at the same time?

Yes, you can listen to the N90Q while they are charging at the same time. Please note that the two cables need to be connected at the same time if you are listening to analog sound. When using digital sound input through the USB cable, charging and digital transmission take place simultaneously.

Can N90Q play without power in the battery?

No, since this is a fully active headphone, power is necessary. The extra power pack is included to give extra safety.

Can the N90Q play digital audio from a telephone?

Yes, but only with certain Android telephones. It is not possible to use iPhones. It is necessary to buy a USB 2.0 cable with Micro-B male plug to Micro-B male plug, OTG functionality. (On-The-Go). This cable is available in different lengths from various electronics shops or web shops. Connecting the telephone and the N90Q with this cable will usually open for digital signal transmission immediately, and the amber charging button on the N90Q will light up as an indication of open connection. (Please note that N90Q can play digital signals from some Apple computers, Macbook, iMac etc.)

How do you know which Listening Mode out of three is selected?

There is no feedback informing you which setting you have selected. You must simply switch between them, and decide which one you like best. Usually,it is easiest to hear when the Surround mode is active, and once you have found that mode, you will know that the next two selections will be Standard and Studio. Here is an explanation of the three AKG N90Q Listening Modes: Three different spatial listening modes are provided. Each mode is characterized by a different spatial perception of the apparent acoustic surroundings. The first mode Standard renders the music unprocessed, like in any conventional headphone. This is useful in particular, if you use external processors such as Dolby headphone or DTS headphone X. The second mode Studio brings the sound stage to the front of the head, without adding any room effect, by means of a novel crosstalk circuit derived from a patented, simplified model of head-related transfer functions. The third mode Surround adds simulated reflections around the head, designed so that you perceive the sound stage at a greater distance, without disturbing artifacts such as coloration or reverb. The mode is changed by simply pressing and immediately releasing the button. (This is the same button used to trigger auto calibration). Music being played is temporarily interrupted; the mode is changed immediately, and a brief “brushing” sound is played to illustrate the acoustic effect of the new mode. The music then immediately resumes playing using the new mode.

How to select digital audio listening with AKG N90Q in Windows.

Usually, the first time you connect the N90Q to your computer with the USB cable, and turn the headphone ON, it will cause a message to open on your computer, informing you that this new device has been connected, and a software package is being imported. Next time, you may get a warning that your USB device is not recognized by the computer, but that does not mean that the headphone will not work, it just means that you must activate it in the audio control systems. Locate the speaker symbol, which is usually shown at the extreme right in your computer taskbar along the bottom of the screen. Right-click on the speaker symbol. A menu opens, and you must highlight and click on Playback Devices. Now a small window opens, showing the Playback tab, with all available speaker option. One of the options should read something like this: " Speakers. AKG N90 headphones - Firmware version A2.12. Ready." Highlight this option, and then click the "Set Default" button that is now available in the window. Audio should immediately be sent to the N90 headphones as a digital signal, which is then converted and amplified inside the headphones. Now you can enjoy world-class music listening. If the computer will not show N90Q as an option, it is usually a solution to disconnect the headphone, then reconnect it. Sometimes this must be done two or three times before the computer "sees" the headphone.

If you have connected your AKG N90Q to your computer USB socket for digital audio, and it has been detected, but still will not play, what do you do?

Is it possible to listen to music while charging the headphone?

Yes, charging and listening simultaneously is possible. With N90Q, charging takes place at all times when listening to digital audio from a USB socket.

Is the N90Q a wireless headphone?

No, the N90Q is not wireless. Signals must go through a cable, either analog 3.5mm jack or digital micro USB. Since this is a headphone of very high quality, able to process and play high-definition audio signals, wireless Bluetooth transmission with its inherently low resolution would not make sense.
